We are incredibly grateful for your donation. Every £1 you donate directly supports Youth at Heart:

  • Visiting young people whilst in hospital with the Rescue Rucksack to break up the monotony of being in hospital
  • Taking young people care packages, treats, puzzle books, magazines and food while an inpatient
  • 1:1 sessions on and off the ward
  • Tours of the Bristol Heart Institute
  • Support with transition and transfer
  • Attendance at clinics
  • Check ins and ongoing wellbeing support
  • Preparing for surgery/procedure
  • Education, employment, finance and housing advice and signposting
  • Lifestyle support
  • Mental health support, anxiety and low mood
Currently it costs over £100,000 to run our charity each year, and in the current climate those costs are increasingly monthly, so we must raise more funds every year to continue our support of those who need us.
A donation of £100 covers the cost of one of our Youth Workers visiting a Young Person in hospital, chatting and playing games to relieve the boredom whilst giving the parents a welcome break from the bedside.

Every donation makes a difference and ensures we can continue to work with young people tailoring our free service to their individual needs.

Make a will

Leave a gift in your Will

Leaving just a small percentage of your estate as a gift to Youth at Heart can really make a difference and help us continue to offer our vital service to young people (aged 13-24) living with CHD.

It’s a great way to leave a legacy for the future plus it can also reduce the amount of tax paid by the rest of your estate so your family will also benefit as they get the most out of their inheritance.

If you would like more information on making or amending a Will, we recommend you speak to your Solicitor or Will making provider.

Fundraise on-line

"Youth Workers are sometimes the first point of contact for a lot of young people that otherwise would not engage and seek support from the health care professionals. They offer independent advice but can also be the bridge for other healthcare workers. Youth workers can also offer a break from an otherwise very medical setting, allowing young people to express themselves in safe environment"

For the whole family

Youth at Heart recognise that congenital heart disease affects the whole family, which is why our Youth Workers are there for families too.

For professionals
